Hello, thankyou for accepting me into this group... its nice to find other people like me :). My name is Sarah and I'm 21 years old. I often feel, play and act like I am a little girl. I'm not ashamed of it, its a part of me I love... my inner child. I will never stop being like this as its not harming myself or anyone around me... it brings joy to my life and those I love... because I am a happy child :). I think the world would be a better place if everyone didn't push those child-like tendencies inside themselves just because society says so!

On another note, does anyone have problems with their self image... not because they think they are "fat" or not beautiful... but because they'd rather be thinner so that they felt like a little girl?

Welcome! ^_^

My name is Nikki btw. I am 22 and also a little girl at heart (roughly 5 I think). I couldn't agree with you more that it is wonderful to be childlike, and that people should not smother these parts of themselves just coz other people do or tell you to.

Those of us who keep our inner children alive and well in spite of the messages from society are very strong and brave indeed. ^_^

Re: self image: I understand wanting to look and feel like a child, but I was a chubby little kid, so I am perfectly okay still being chubby at 22. It helps me to feel youthful, actually. I also dress rather young, and almost always wear pigtails and/or headbands and/or colorful snappy clips. I love to do my hair all pretty and girly!

Again, welcome to the community!

Sometimes my family and friends seem embarrassed around me, because I get very excited by things, and like to dance around and sing. It hurts. We have to remember, somehow, that being who we are is worth it: that we bring something precious to places and spaces of the world that need it.
